Ohio Scholarship Programs
Across Ohio, thousands of parents use state-funded scholarships to send their children to the school they choose. Through Ohio’s four scholarship programs, parents are able to direct a portion of their tax money that is designated for their child’s education.
The Golden Key is a provider for two of those scholarship programs. Both are programs that were created primarily through the advocacy of parents.
1) The Autism Scholarship. Any student on the autism spectrum ages 3-22 is eligible to participate. Preschool and School age children qualify. Worth up to $20,000.00 per year.
2) The Special needs Scholarship- known as The Jon Peterson Scholarship. Allows any student with an Individualized Education Plan (IEP) to use state money to pay for private school tuition. This is a school age program- K-12. Scholarships are worth $7,000.00- $20,000.00, depending on the student’s disability.
