AUTISM AWARENESS MONTH SPOTLIGHTED AT THE GOLDEN KEY CENTER FOR EXCEPTIONAL CHILDREN
The Golden Key Center for Exceptional Children is joining with the nation in participating in the national April Autism Awareness month. On Thursday, April 2nd, during the national “Light it Up Blue Campaign”, The Golden Key will “go blue” to raise autism awareness with blue lighting on the building and the Golden Key Sign.
“We work diligently with our students to prepare them for success in their community.” said Terry Frank, Executive Director of The Golden Key Center. “By coming together with the nation during this awareness month it helps our children to be more accepted as the go out into their communities.”
Autism Speaks, the autism research and education organization, announced the launch of the inaugural Light It Up Blue campaign in 2010. This initiative is intended to raise international awareness of autism in support of both World Autism Awareness Day and Autism Awareness Month in the United States.
